Leopard Opal Hair Fork/Shawl Pin
Regular price $475 USD
This dark and dreamy opal is Leopard Opal: a play-of-color opal in black vesicular basalt that only comes from Hidalgo, Mexico. This particular stones have a black base with small colored specks scattered throughout. The specks in these opals are mostly white or blue with play-of-color flashes in it.
Above the Leopard Opal are three more fire opals, a tube-set peridot and a tanzanite. Fine silver balls and sterling silver cupped disks are scattered about around a real succulent that's been cast in sterling silver. Above the succulent is a domed crescent moon with a tube-set moonstone in the middle.
The top piece is soldered onto 2mm sterling silver wire that's been work hardened and kinked for ease of use.
The back is stamped with my CL maker's mark and "STERLING" for .925 silver.
This piece can be worn in the hair, or used in a knit shawl or sweater.
