Leopard Opal is a vesicular basalt opal from the state of Hidalgo, Mexico. So far, it is the only area discovered with this particular opal! It is pretty rare and so pretty with its black matrix and white speckles throughout with green and blue play-of-color.
This pendant features an inverted pear-shaped Mexican Leopard opal. The stone is bezel-set with gold granulation details soldered along the outside, including a gold moon and a small tube bezel holding a 1.5mm diamond.
This opal is quite rare and I'm honored to pull it from my collection to share with you!
The back had my CL maker's mark, 14k, and "STERLING" for .925 silver.
Specifications:
- Leopard Opal and diamond
- .999 fine and .925 sterling silver, 14k gold
- Measures approx. 1” x 5/8”
