Cast rings are some of my favorite pieces to make, and every time I cast a round of them I'm always impressed by the variety of textures I can get from casting the same ring.
These rings were made using a method called Delft Sand casting. I first fabricated a ring to use as the mold, then cast each ring individually pouring molten sterling silver into the empty space in the sand.
This solid sterling silver, size 8 ring has an opalescent Australian sapphire set into the original casting sprue. Sapphire has a hardness of 9 on the Mohs scale, so this rustic and organic piece is perfect for everyday wear.
**This ring can be sized up to a 9.5. Just add your size in the checkout notes.
