Cast rings are some of my favorite pieces to make, and every time I cast a round of them I'm always impressed by the variety of textures and forms I can get from casting the same ring.
These rings were made using a method called Delft Sand casting. I first fabricated a ring to use as the mold, then cast each ring individually pouring molten sterling silver into the empty space in the sand.
This size 4.25 ring (fits like a 4) has an Australian sapphire set into the original casting sprue and two 14k gold balls. This rustic and organic piece is perfect for an everyday ring.
